Honoring the Fallen

Fields of Valor
Beneath the flags that softly wave,
Lie heroes in their silent grave,
They fought through fire, storm, and fray,
For freedom’s light to shine today.
Echoes of Their Sacrifice
From Gettysburg to foreign shores,
They answered duty’s urgent calls,
With hearts of steel, they faced the wars,
Their names now carved on hallowed walls.
The Cost of Liberty
Each star, each stripe, a tale of loss,
A mother’s tear, a lover’s cross,
They gave their breath, their youth, their all,
To break the chains, to heed the call.
Poppies Red, a Solemn Sign
In Flanders’ fields, where poppies grow,
Their crimson blooms in silence show,
The price of peace, the blood they shed,
For us to live, where they now tread.
Eternal Gratitude
On this Memorial Day, we stand,
With grateful hearts, we clasp the hand,
Of memory’s guard, we’ll not forget,
The fallen brave, our sacred debt.
In light of the solemn day, the usual Monday release of the next lifestyle/philosophy/religion essay will be moved to Tuesday, 27 May. Thank you.
