Anybody driving West on I-70 has traversed this gorgeous state – but they have missed the best parts. Home to some of the most spectacular rock formations in the country, Utah requires one to take one’s time when visiting.

I love Utah.

Whether watching the sun rise through the Mesa Arch in Canyonlands, photographing the abandoned and “rotting” cars at the Cow Canyon Trading Post in Bluff, capturing a fabulous sky at sunrise in Dead Horse Point State Park, admiring the mesas around Capitol Reef at sunset, following the meandering waters of the San Juan river, or having fun watching the sun set over Turret Arch through the North Window in Arches – the landscape is simply breathtaking.
